About Your Manager
Throughout my career as a trainer/depal point of contact and student at Savannah State University, I have acquired the technical skills and soft skills to be a successful warehouse manager. In my 4 years as a trainer/depal point of contact I have experienced many different company cultures, management techniques and leadership styles.
As an employee at Target Corporation I developed a respect for company Culture. At previous places of employment I would receive pay incentives when I would exceed company goals. So when I joined Target it was peculiar that I didn’t receive those same rewards. Target didn’t provide these incentive because they could potentially increase the number of workplaces safety incidents and also could compromise the company’s best practices. I develop techniques to motivate employees without giving them monetary incentives. I found that when a workplace operates ethically and is socially responsible the production will come and the company saves money.
At Wal-Mart I developed teambuilding skills and found the importance of building relationships with your employees. When you build strong relationships employees tend to work harder for you because they respect you. I have developed techniques that improve teamwork, workplace morale, and increase retention rates. I also fostered a drive to be the best at everything that I do. Welcome to my on-line portfolio.
